While the California coast probably gets the most PR when it comes to American shoreline, the Oregon Coast is every bit as glorious and less tourist infested. Its 360 miles of coastline include rock formations, hidden caves, and tidal pools backed by forests, cliffs, and lighthouses creating a dramatic landscape. Famous for marine life encounters and whale watching, the Oregon Coast is home to charming, picturesque towns. And if you’re not sure how to start exploring the local marine life, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is a great place to learn about what happens under water here.

With that in mind, here are 8 of The Best Airbnb Oregon Coast Properties for Rent!

Where to stay in Portland, Oregon

8. Beauty and the Beach – approx. $719 a night

If you happen to be in the market for a wedding venue on the Oregon Coast, this place is perfect. This 5,000 square foot house (yes, 5,000!), can handle 14 guests in its five bedrooms and its four-and-a-half baths. Sitting on over two acres, this custom-built home has Bosch and Wolf appliances and has a dining area that seats 14. With views of both the forest and the beach, a natural waterfall feature, and an enclosed dog run, you might not even want to leave the house, but if you do, you’ll be right in the middle of the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, not to mention Bob Straub State Park, a stunning stretch of beach where you can ride horses or just get some great Instagram pics!

7. Serenity Now – approx. $1,137 a night

If you’re staying on the Oregon coast, chances are you need a break from real life and if ever an Airbnb is going to offer peace and serenity, it’s this six-bedroom, four-and-a half-bath. With ocean views, a sauna, and access to a nature trail, all you really need to bring is a big ol’ bathrobe and maybe some wine. There are actualy two master bedrooms and wifi just in case you can’t quite be “Out of Office” entirely. There are also game tables (think ping-pong, foosball, and air hockey) as well as bunk beds if you’re traveling with kids. Located in the Sahhali Shores neighborhood, you’ll be near Neskowin Golf Course, Proposal Rock, and the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

6. Cozy Cabin – approx. $800 a night

It doesn’t get any cozier than this. Like a cabin in the woods, this warm, Craftsman-style oceanfront home known as Ocean’s Edge has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps 10, so call your friends! With a wraparound deck, outdoor fire pit, two bedrooms with ocean views, another with a fireplace and a sun porch, you’ll all have plenty of space if you need some alone time. With a fully stocked kitchen (including spices, staples, and every utensil you could need), beach toys, a collection of movies, board games, books, and pretty much whatever media equipment you can think of, this place could make a great party house! If you want to take the party on the road you’re about a ten-minute car ride to the Tillamook Dairy and Cheese Factory as well as the Pelican Brewery. Just make sure you take an Uber back!

5. Modern Masterpiece – $550 a night

You know all those “Before and After” home renovation shows? Well, this is definitely an “After”! With five bedrooms, four baths, and enough room to sleep 15, this is truly an extraordinary property (not to mention a really good deal if you get a group of friends together). With floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean, the aptly named “Cleanline Beach House” has a fully equipped kitchen, a bar area, beach chairs, beach toys, bodyboards, and skimboards so don’t pack any big toys! A two-hour drive from Portland International Airport, this Tierra Del Mar home is near the popular areas of Sandlake and Cape Lookout as well as Pacific City where you’ll find the Cape Kiwanda Drive where you can surf and check out some of the cute little shops in town. That’s what we call a happily ever after!

4. Pirate Perfect – approx. $211 a night

Ahoy! Your kids are going to lose it when they see this pirate room. As if Captain Ahab himself had been sleeping here just minutes before, this incredible room has to be seen to be believed and if this room is any indication, this is a great Oregon home to rent if you’re traveling with kids. Take, for example, the basement which has a foosball, table tennis, and air hockey. While it’s a great place for kids, there’s plenty at this ocean front home to keep adults occupied like the outdoor firepit, giant deck, private hot tub, indoor fireplace, and a huge kitchen. That said, we’re guessing even the adults will be spending most of their time in that pirate room.

3. Agate Beach Quirky Home – $379 a night

A little bit of this (1950s décor) and a little bit of that (a lovely, cabin-like feel) compose this great little house near Agate Beach. With 2,190 square feet of space, this space, which sleeps up to 12, gives you a perfect place from which to explore the coast of Oregon. With a big yard, a hot tub, a 72” TV, pool table, and a wii, you’ll still have plenty to do if you just want to stay home. In addition to a pack of welcome amenities, you’ll have access to a tablet that will have all the information about the house you need to have (like how to use the television). Luckily, you need no instruction about how to use the ocean!

2. Happy Little Rooms on the Oregon Coast – approx. $556 a night

How could you be in a bad mood while staying in this cute little gem on the Oregon coast? Painted in uplifting colors and situated right on the beach, the way this Airbnb which is known as Sea Amor, is built right into the rocks of the ocean front is truly extraordinary. With a little deck that faces the ocean, you can be outside most of the time here with a drink in your hand, although we strongly recommend sobering up before you try those steps. There’s also a hot tub on the deck so if you’re not into swimming you can still enjoy the water. With an open kitchen, dining area, and great room, you can keep an eye on your guests and/or kids as you fix dinner or shuck oysters. We are definitely in amor over this property!

1. Oceanfront Luxury in Bella Beach – approx. $578 a night

We had the same thought: How much does that staircase remind you of the movie, “Something’s Gotta Give”? Seriously, we almost expect to discover Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton walking on the beach together! Known as the “Sea Glass Cottage,” this serene, New England-inspired Oregon coast Airbnb sleeps no less than 16 people within its six bedrooms and four baths, making it a perfect party house to celebrate a special birthday or special occasion (especially since there’s a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of rooms for kids including cool bunk beds!). This right-on-the-beach house is right in the Bella Beach neighborhood which is one of the most desirable beach front areas of the Oregon coast. With ocean views from the bedrooms, the great room, and even the dining room, you can pretty much always have one eye on the Pacific. The cities of Newport and Lincoln City are nearby in case you have enough of looking at that gorgeous water, although we’re not sure how that would be possible.
