Carried Away – approx. $1,478 a night

You know you’re staying in a really elegant place when there are horse stables on the property. With six bedrooms, this stunning Georgian-style carriage house can sleep up to 12 guests, making it perfect for a bachelorette party, a family reunion, or even a babymoon!

Amenities here include a gorgeous pool, hot tub, a professional chef’s kitchen, Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, and of course air-conditioning, crucial in the summer months.

Known as “Hamptons Wine country,” North Fork will put you in close proximity to plenty of wineries, not to mention great beaches. For dining options, we recommend Little Creek Oyster Farm and Market! Definitely one of the best Airbnb homes in the Hamptons.

Housewife Haven – approximately $3,000 a night

Another one of the best Airbnb homes in the Hamptons, right here. We’re not honestly sure if the front lawn is big enough to land a helicopter on, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were. Located in Sag Harbor’s North Haven point, this stunning home is a prime example of New England elegance.

This six-bedroom Airbnb which sleeps 12 within its 7,400 square feet has every upscale amenity you can imagine. Between the gourmet kitchen (expect Subzero and Wolf appliances), media room with 135-foot screens, 850 square-foot playroom (with ping-pong and a stair machine), trampoline, outdoor shower, salt water water pool and community tennis and basketball courts and community beach, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

The enormous open plan kitchen includes a dining area as well as a den where you can watch TV, lounge by the fireplace, or read a book. The master bath is “Real Housewives”-worthy, complete with a soaking tub vanity area and wall-to-wall marble.

The master bedroom has a lovely terrace that overlooks the pool perfect if you want to watch the kids at play. Any “real housewife” would be proud to stay here!

Not-So-Grey Gardens – approximately $999 a night

Is it us, or does this six-bedroom farmhouse in East Marion have just the right amount of “Grey Gardens” in it to be fun? Unlike the house in “Grey Gardens” this one is spotlessly clean (it was actually used on HBO’s “Girls,” and started life in 1895 as a Coast Guard station).

Sleeping up to 12, it has an open-plan kitchen, four porches, a TV room with a huge sectional for everyone to lounge on, a workspace, and a fabulous tower from which to view the entire surrounding area. The decor is sweet and casual (think Shabby Chic-meets-1920s).

There is A/C as well as ceiling fans in most of the rooms so you can stay nice and cool in the summer months. Of course, there’s a 50’ x 60’ pool as well as a private beach so invite all your girls over.

A Nod to the Nautical – Approximately $2452

You’ll understand the first night when you see the sun go down how “Sunset Manor” got its name. Located on Sag Harbor, this sophisticated property is set on a perfectly manicured lawn that looks out onto a private beach.

Decorated with nautical accents, this European villa sleeps six within its six bedrooms and 5 ½ baths. Since group activities usually involve a lot of eating (that kitchen is bigger than many catering halls and just as well equipped), you’ll love the home gym and spa area which includes not just a place to work out but a sauna as well as a steam shower.

Of course there’s a pool (that kind of looks like a moat, doesn’t it?) as well as a hot tub, giving you another way to work off those calories.

If you have to catch up on work you’ll have access to Internet and if you have to catch up on say, “The Crown,” there’s cable TV. And did we mention the wine cellar? Don’t be surprised if one of you decides to become a sommelier by the end of your stay.

Beautiful Boat House – approximately $1643 a night

We know what you’re thinking and yes, that is a window in the floor of the bedroom so that you can see the water below. And yes, that bed is hanging from ropes. And yes, that is an outdoor shower.

Those are the kind of amazing touches that makes this Shelter Island Heights boathouse so special. The picture window in the master bedroom almost gives one the feeling of being on safari while the picture window in the second bedroom almost gives one the feeling of being on a boat.

In fact, the indoor/outdoor feel of this house is such that you may forget which one you’re in. Big, generous decks and tons of light given airy feel to the whole place, as do the open floor plan kitchen and living room area.

Whitewashed walls and wooden panels give the whole house a genuine New England touch. Sleeping up to eight with and three bedrooms this is a great place for a small gathering of friends. Very, very, lucky friends.

Feeling Frisky? Approximately $613 a night

Just looking at the outside of this refined Shelter Island mansion, you can almost picture the Kennedys playing football on the lawn outside. Decorated to elegant perfection in classic East Coast blue and white, this place has a true magazine feel. Another one of the best Airbnb homes in the Hamptons.

With plenty of lawn space, indoor/outdoor porches, and enough dining areas to hold a wedding, you can easily host up to eight here and not feel cramped for space.

In fact, this estate sits on eight private acres and consists of two separate properties although you’ll all have access to the heated pool, the outdoor shower, the gardens, and the two-car garage (eight more cars can easily fit in the large pebble driveway outside).

And of course you can all head over to the nearby beach. The main house features a huge eat-in kitchen which has a Subzero, Viking stove, two refrigerators, two dishwashers and two sinks. If that still doesn’t make you want to cook, we recommend The Frisky Oyster, a fabulous casual seafood restaurant nearby.

Saltwater Sanctuary – approximately $999 per night

Arguably the best Airbnb in the Hamptons right here. This stunning four-bedroom home is to East Hampton what California casual is to that state. Decorated in blue and white this Airbnb perfectly embodies the New England summer aesthetic. With a huge backyard, a saltwater pool and a lovely back deck, you have a fabulous outdoor summer ahead of you.

You’ll be close to both ocean and local beaches as well as fabulous towns like Montauk. Of course, if you must answer those pesky emails you’ll have Wi-Fi, and did you can’t live without your shows you’ll have TV.

Thankfully there’s air-conditioning (as well as an indoor fireplace if you decide to visit in the winter). Clean and modern, the house looks like Joanna Gaines herself paid a visit to the East Coast with subway tile bathrooms, a white kitchen and understated elegance.

This immaculate home sleeps eight guests within four bedrooms and thankfully, five baths, making it a wonderful place to meet up with family and friends this summer.

Out of Office (Sort of) – approximately $1000 per night

Think of this one as Sag Harbor minimalism. In fact, we think if Tom Ford had a house in Sag Harbor this is what it would look like. This tranquil Airbnb sleeps eight and has four bedrooms and 4 ½ baths.

You’ll be just a short walk away from local beaches (so you can use that outdoor shower to wash the sand off your feet), not to mention Connecticut, so if you have friends there this would be a great meeting point.

Decorated almost exclusively in shades of black and white, this is the perfect place for someone who is worried about leaving their Manhattan sophistication behind for the weekend. A “smart home,” you can literally control everything in the house from one device.

Complete with its own pool, you’ll still have access to Wi-Fi in case you need to check in at work. That said, we strongly recommend trying to get away with that “out of office” message as long as you can.
